Abstract

This is a presentation of the UNESCO site where PROTEGE is working with French Polynesia’s Directorate for Environment (DIREN) and the Directorate for Culture and Heritage (DCP) and the local community. The project aims to assist with invasive weed management, which are affecting the area. The site is an important cultural site and weed management is undertaken with special care given to not disturb the archaeological structures.
