Abstract
An Exotic Species is a plant or animal species introduced by man, intentionally or not, outside its outside its usual area. They become invasive when they are highly prolific, eliminating native (local) and endemic plants. The "Taputapuātea Cultural Landscape" (PCT), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the site selected for the "Implementation of actions to combat Invasive Alien Species (IAS) and to manage biodiversity ". This guide has been produced to: (i) provide information on the dangers of IAS, (ii) explain the impacts of these species, (iii) help to recognize them and (iv) limit their development.
